Community service implemented by lecturers in higher education is one of the practices of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This activity is carried out directly in the community, aiming to contribute and help solving problems faced by the community as well as to improve the quality of human resources. As consequences, it might help increasing the welfare of the community eventually the community can live independently and prosperously.

The Institute for Research and Community Service of Universitas Gunadarma

The Institute for Research and Community Service (Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat; abbreviated as LPPM) of Universitas Gunadarma is an institution that plays a role in supporting Universitas Gunadarma in implementing one of its goals, namely to contribute in the field of Science and Technology for regional, national and international development needs. In carrying out its duties, LPPM of Universitas Gunadarma always strives to socialize superior research and science and technology services that are useful for the wider community. So far, LPPM of Universitas Gunadarma has contributed many community service activities, both physically as well as scientifically.

Providing space and infrastructure in the form of a business incubator that can be utilized by the community to prepare and develop their business.

Discussion rooms in research institutions that can be utilized for discussion and coordination, in a very supportive conditions (air conditioning, chairs, discussion tables, whiteboards, and LCD Projectors)
The existence of several supporting laboratories, such as the Accounting Laboratory, Business Development Laboratory, E-commerce Laboratory, and others. These laboratory rooms can also be used to conduct training on the results of research and community service carried out
Library with a very conducive room and building and has an excellent collection of reference books
Intellectual property rights(Hak Kekayaan Intelektual, abbreviated as HKI) management unit that can assist researchers in managing and obtaining HKI certification for the results of research and community service.

Providing microcredit to community business groups

Providing a web domain that can be utilized by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah, abbreviated as UMKM) to market their products

Providing information facilities such as UG News tabloid, UG Radio and UG TV that can be utilized as promotional media by the business community

Providing mentoring services to help solving various problems faced by UMKM business owners
