The influence of globalization has entered various aspects of people’s lives, as well as rapid economic development, especially in the human resource development sector. So that, in terms of psychology certainly requires intensive study.
In order to realize the implementation of higher education responsibilities in preparing educated personnel who can support the Government’s program in National Development for the future, Universitas Gunadarma strives to present human resources at the Bachelor’s level whom are professional and reliable in today’s global environment, especially in the field of psychology.
This commitment is also an active role of the private sector in the field of education in its effort to improve the quality and competitiveness of Indonesian human resources in facing the current era of globalization, whereas value and excellences are determining factors for each economic actors in general and the human resources sector from the aspect of Psychology in particular.
Vision
Universitas Gunadarma Bachelor Programme of Psychology’s vision in 2027 is to become a globally oriented program and contribute to sustainable development based on the Tridharma activities (teaching, research and community service) that is adaptive, transformative and innovative, in increasing national competitiveness in the field of psychology with an interdisciplinary approach, especially with information technology in 2027
Mission
To be able to realize Faculty of Psychology’s vision, supporting missions are needed. The missions of the Faculty of Psychology of Gunadarma University are:
- Organising innovative and transformative educational and training in the field of psychology to produce graduates with high competence and competitiveness. This includes an interdisciplinary basis, especially with information technology, in various aspects of life aligned with societal growth, global demands, and sustainable development goals.
- Creating an academic atmosphere through research activities in the field of psychology at both national and international levels. These activities are interdisciplinary in nature and contribute to human welfare.
- Conducting community service activities in the field of psychology with the aim of supporting sustainable development goals. This is achieved through improving the quality of human life and enhancing the overall quality of society.
- Organising and developing national and international partnerships to enhance national competitiveness, particularly in the field of psychology. The goal is to strengthen national identity in a global environment.
- Implementing good, modern, adaptive, and transformative study programme governance. This is done through the development of an interdisciplinary digital ecosystem to improve the performance of the study programme.
Study Program Competencies
Bachelor Programme of Psychology implements educations program which generate alumnus within certain competencies as follows:
Ability to carry out studies or research, both in the development of knowledge and in applied fields, especially those related to the analysis of human behaviour and the impact of human interaction and IT in the context of welcoming Society 5.0 and utilizing IT for the development of psychological science (such as in measurement and psychological research)
Ability to manage an independent business related to the field of psychology, such as managing a consulting bureau or other fields that provide job opportunities for other people. This independent business management cannot be separated from the ability to understand various business developments within the scope of Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0 so that understanding digital society as well as social networking and creative content becomes one of the strengths in managing an independent business

Concept and Psychology Theory Competencies, such as:
Understanding Psychological Concepts and Theories which include major theoretical concepts regarding human mental processes and functions in various aspects of life, mastering basic statistical techniques and psychological measurements through conventional and electronic approaches as well as basic research methodologies, mastering basic concepts and principles -principles of psychodiagnostics, mastering theoretical concepts about psychological interventions and mastering procedures for scientific writing according to the standards of the American Psychological Association (APA)

Assessment Competency
To have the assessment skills through interviews, observations, and psychological tests both conventionally and with technological mediation that are permitted in accordance with psychodiagnostics principles and the Indonesian Psychology Code of Ethics

Psychometric Competency
To have the ability to carry out psychological measurements by developing psychological measurement instruments based on psychometric principles enriched with approaches through technology, especially information technology

Psychological Problem Solving Competency
To be able to solve non-clinical psychological problems and behavioural problems, as well as presenting alternative problem solutions

Psychology Intervention Competency
Psychology Intervention Competency, encompasses intervention within counseling, psychoeducation, training and other permitted techniques based on theoretical concept in the course of psychology along with and Indonesian Code of Ethics in Psychology

Professional and Interpersonal Relation Competency
To be able to carry out rapport and build effective professional relationships as well as build healthy interpersonal relationships, both directly and through electronic media such as via the internet

To have communication skills by conveying ideas in writing, presenting presentations effectively, and using information technology responsibly

Research Competency
To be able to conduct psychological research using quantitative research methodology (at least with descriptive or inferential bivariate statistical analysis, as well as non-parametric for observed variables), and with generic qualitative research methodology

Human Behaviour Study Competency related to IT
To be able to analyse human behaviour influenced by technology; especially information technology so that it can take an interdisciplinary approach with other sciences, especially in the fields of human computer interaction and computer-based learning
